The times, when the only cannabis edibles available were the so-called ‘special brownies’, are going out the window. After all, there are so many ways in which you can use cannabis while cooking, that sticking only with this one would be a crime.
However, before we jump into the recipes, let’s just a few words about why would you even want to consume cannabis. Well, there are several reasons for that – mainly medical. According to experts from Buy Fake Urine ‘Consuming cannabis can help you relieve chronic pain, beat depression, improve sex life, and maintain a healthy weight.’ – and that’s just a portion of what cannabis can actually do.
Coming back to the topic – the internet is full of recipes that you can recreate in the comfort of your own home. We decided to gather a few of the easy ones so that you can have a good starting point for your ‘cooking with cannabis’ adventure. So, without any further ado, let’s just get to it. Cannabutter
First, we will teach you some basics – that is how to make your very own cannabutter. You will need:
- 6 grams of marijuana
- 1 pound of unsalted butter
How to Prepare:
- Preheat the oven to 120 C. Place the marijuana evenly on a baking sheet and place it in the oven – be careful not to let it go over 120 C, as you might lose the potency. Let them bake for around 40 minutes.
- Once cooked, take them out of the oven, let them cool down, and grind them into a coarse powder.
- Melt the butter in a pot, and add the marijuana powder you prepared. Cook it for around 45 minutes, but don’t let it go over 93 C. Remove it from the heat, and let it sit for approximately 10 minutes.
- Strain it through a fine-mesh sieve set over a bowl. Press it carefully with a spoon to extract as much oil as possible.
And voila! You just made cannabutter. That wasn’t so hard, was it?

Final Thoughts
Truth be told, you can use most of the traditional recipes to cook with cannabis – all you have to do is exchange some ingredients to the ones infused with either THC or CBD. For example, you can use cannabutter instead of a regular one, or Cannaoil instead of standard oil.
What you need to remember, however, is to have fun in the kitchen. Don’t be afraid to experiment. It’s fine if one of the recipes doesn’t taste good – don’t give up, and try another one. You won’t know what tastes good unless you test it by trial and error. Good Luck!
