Get Your Sushi Making Steps Right: Serve The Best Tasting Sushi

Let’s talk about the ingredients first

  • 2 ½ Cups Sushi Rice

  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup flour

  • Wasabi, pickled ginger or soy sauce for dipping

Preparing The Sushi Rice

This is one of the most important parts of a sushi roll. It is the trickiest part of the recipe on which the entire dish is dependent. The rice has to be perfectly sticky for the rolls to stay together. To prepare it the way it is needed, follow the steps below:

  • Put the required quantity of rice into the saucepan
  • Accordingly, add cold water and bring it to boil while stirring occasionally
  • Now cover the pan and reduce the heat to medium-low until all the water is absorbed
  • Let the rice cook for another five minutes and then remove it from the heat
  • Spread the rice on a large tray and pour sushi vinegar on warm rice. Stir it well   
  • Your sushi rice is ready

Making The Sushi Rolls

  • To start with it, first, cover your bamboo mat with plastic wrap to avoid clean up
  • Place the sheet of nori over it, shiny side down
  • Wet your fingers and spread the prepared rice by pressing it evenly onto the sushi sheet
  • Now flipping the sheet over with rice facing down
  • Place your preferred fillings across the center of the sheet. In case it is chicken, first, cook it with the mentioned ingredients until golden brown.
  • Do not overfill or the roles won’t close
  • Having done all this, lift the side of the mat that’s closest to you and start rolling
  • Squeeze the log/roll before removing the mat
  • Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the roll
  • Now cut it with a sharp knife and serve it with soy sauce, wasabi or even pickled ginger
